F.A.T. Mankei x Mercedes AMG
15. Juli 2025
Project: F.A.T Mankei x AMG ft. Hanna Schönwald
Kaiserschmarren & the ultimate alpine roadtrip
There are productions where everything aligns: location, light, cars, people...and then there are the ones where it all aligns AND you get Kaiserschmarrn. That was the F.A.T. Mankei x Mercedes AMG event on Austria’s iconic Großglockner High Alpine Road.
Widely regarded as one of the world’s greatest driving roads, the Großglockner has a new pit stop: F.A.T. Mankei, a high-altitude meeting place for car lovers created by Ferdinand Porsche. If you're into breathtaking roads, rare cars, and good food, this is your next bucket list stop.
We started our trip in Hamburg with an early morning flight to Stuttgart. Traveling with camera gear and Hanna Schönwald, who surprisingly had brought more than just a wallet, meant we actually had to book business class in order to bring all of our stuff. Weirdly that was only 40 bucks more than economy. Not sure I understand these new airline business models.
In Stuttgart we picked up our weekend weapon: the Mercedes-AMG SL63, finished in MANUFAKTUR Ireland Mid Green magno, a color that demanded content immediately.
The plan? Drive it all the way to Zell am See, create stunning road trip content, and capture visuals for both Hanna’s socials and AMG’s platforms.
The next morning we woke the SL63 quite early for the drive up to the F.A.T. Mankei location and the local residence where very happy with the V8's cold start noises that soothingly welcomed them into a new beautiful day filled with sunshine and joy.
On the way, we filmed an intro video for AMG’s Instagram Stories. Hanna walked viewers through what to expect and offered a first look at the car and the venue.
At the summit, the scenery was jaw-dropping: clear skies, snow-capped peaks, and a curated selection of cars parked out front. AMG One, Pagani Utopia in red carbon, CLK DTM AMG, and a Mercedes 500 E 6.0 AMG “Hammer”, just to name "the basics".
During the day we shoot a series of different cars in different environments so that we would have enough high quality assets to post between Hanna, AMG and F.A.T.

Capturing the essence of an event is one thing. Making the whole community feel like they’re there? That’s a challenge.
So, this time, AMG and Hanna tried something new:
„In addition to conventional high quality assets that capture the vibe and essence of the event, lets give Hanna a microphone and let her guide the people at home threw the day. Showing general things about the event and the community but also highlighting special cars and special people.“
So we got the old podcast mics out and had a go.
The result? Amazing feedback. People learned about the event, the cars, the history of Mankei, and yes, how good the Kaiserschmarrn was.

The production proved something crucial: good communication isn’t just for healthy relationships. It’s also key for smooth, agile content production on tight social media schedules.
So all in all: Go check out FAT Mankei! Enjoy perfect mountain roads, have a very delicious lunch and most importantly don’t forget sunscreen. Sun on a snowy mountain slaps.
